A lot of my time this summer has been taken up with rehearsing and performing with Menagerie, a Perth based indie pop choir managed by fearless zookeeper Claire Coleman.
For those who have never sung in a community choir before: it is an experience that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. The benefits are endless. Meeting tons of people, gaining experience as a performer without having too much attention on yourself, learning to read music without having to try too hard, increasing your appreciation for music and lyrics - and just general fun times.
Here's a video a stranger going by the YouTube alias digitalduck recorded during one of several flashmobs at Fringe. Thank you, stranger!
